Paragon’s Scissors are our specialty. They are hardened and tempered high quality stainless steel, for maximum durability and toughness. There is a fine line between scissors that are made too hard (where tips would snap off) and being too soft (where the scissor will not hold an edge, or the blades damage each other). Paragon’s scissors are engineered to avoid these problems. In addition, the hinge areas are carefully treated to blunt all sharp areas so as to avoid lacerating tissue during cuts. Unless ordered otherwise, tips are tapered to a fine point. The blades can be serrated to grip tissue or suture, without it sliding out of the tips.
